ABOUT US... The One Stop Career Centers, required under the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA), are a cornerstone of the workforce investment system. These centers are designed to provide individuals with access to employment, education and training services from different programs and providers at a single location. The center has self-service activities as well as staff-assisted services, designed to meet particular customer needs. Under WIA, the local Workforce Board oversees the One Stop Career Centers and decides how to address the needs of workers and businesses in specific workforce areas.
